Astronomical Society of the Pacific
The Astronomical Society of the Pacific (ASP) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the understanding and appreciation of astronomy. The ASP is a membership organization with members from over 70 nations. The ASP publishes the peer-reviewed journal Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific (PASP), Conference Series Proceedings, and Mercury magazine. The ASP conducts research and develops education and outreach programs designed to serve scientists, educators, and the public. The ASP’s mission is to increase the understanding and appreciation of astronomy.
University of California, Berkeley -- Space Sciences Laboratory
The Space Sciences Laboratory (SSL) aims to expand scientific knowledge of Earth, the space environment, solar system bodies, and the wider cosmos. Those who work at SSL pursue, lead, develop, and execute a diverse range of high-impact space science and astronomy projects. Cutting-edge and agile engineering efforts are used at SSL to develop missions and state-of-the-art scientific instrumentation and operate flight systems efficiently. Additionally, SSL is committed to training, educating, and mentoring the next generation of space scientists, engineers and staff in a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative environment where they can reach their full potential.
